Land Acknowledgement

We would like to respectfully acknowledge that the land that we learn and play on is on Chief Drygeese territory, the traditional land of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation descendants of Tetsǫ́t’ıné. We would like to acknowledge the knowledge holders of this land, both past, present and those emerging.

The Yellowknife Playschool is open Monday through Friday and provides a variety of class times to suit you and your child.

The Teachers

A teacher trained in Early Childhood Education, or an educational equivalent, leads each class. The teacher collaborates with the Executive Director and other teachers to plan and implement the program. Together they create a fun and educational environment in which children grow and learn.

The Students

Enrolment is limited to 16 children in each class. Children must be between the ages of 25 months and five years, be toilet trained and cannot be attending kindergarten.
